Mid-Level Labor And Employment Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

Duties:

• Provide legal advice to clients on a wide range of employment issues, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage & hour matters.
• Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including single plaintiff and class/collective action lawsuits.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and preparation.
• Develop and implement legal strategies and case plans.
• Negotiate settlements and handle all aspects of pre-trial and trial preparation.
• Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Assist with ERISA litigation, if applicable, including pension and benefits disputes.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure the effective handling of cases.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar in Ohio.
• 4-7 years of experience in labor and employment law, including litigation.
• Proven experience in handling employment-related disputes, including class/collective actions.
• ERISA litigation experience is a plus.
• Superior academic record with strong research and writing skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Ohio State Bar.
