A law firm is seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Project Finance Counsel Or Associate Attorney for its Boston, MA location.

Job Overview:

  • Join a collaborative team of attorneys focused on clean energy and climate solutions sectors.
  • Work closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers, providing active mentoring.
  • Assume a high level of responsibility and client contact with companies ranging from start-ups to leading international infrastructure investors.
  • Gain extensive project and structured finance experience within the renewable energy industry.

Duties:

  • Represent sponsors, borrowers, lenders, or investors in renewable energy industry transactions.
  • Negotiate and draft project finance agreements and structured asset-based finance documents.
  • Provide legal counsel on tax equity in solar, wind, and energy storage project assets.
  • Develop expertise in financing renewable energy projects and portfolios.

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of substantial transactional experience at a major law firm.
  • Focus on project finance and/or structured asset-based finance and non-recourse lending transactions.
  • Experience in asset-backed securitization or asset-backed lending preferred.
  • Strong drafting and negotiating skills with superior academic credentials.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

  • Experience in renewable energy industry transactions.
  • Proficiency in negotiating and drafting legal documents.
  • Strong understanding of project finance and structured finance principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
