Personal Injury Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced and passionate Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join their legal team in Chicago, Illinois. The selected candidate will work closely with clients to ensure their cases are handled with care, demonstrating empathy while advocating for the best possible outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to manage a full caseload, from client consultations to trial preparation and, if necessary, litigation in court.

Duties

• Conduct client consultations, offering expert legal advice while ensuring a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• Represent clients in all stages of personal injury cases, including trial preparation and trial representation.
• Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates and answer queries regarding their claims.
• Coordinate with insurance companies to negotiate claims and settlements.
• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery materials.
• Demonstrate proactive case management, ensuring that all deadlines and obligations are met efficiently.
• Engage in legal research and analysis to support case development and strategy.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, always striving to secure favorable outcomes.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 6 years of litigation experience, including first-chair trial experience.
• Member of the Illinois Bar and in good standing.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in resolving personal injury claims.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proactive and solution-oriented approach to complex legal problems.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member of the Illinois Bar.
