Duties:

  • Represent clients in creditor's rights cases, including court appearances and litigation proceedings.
  • Utilize the firm’s case management and reporting software to effectively manage assigned matters.
  • Travel as necessary to attend court hearings and meetings with clients and stakeholders.
  • Apply working knowledge of consumer credit collections and state-specific laws to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and strategies.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements with debtors and opposing parties to resolve cases efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Alabama in good standing.
  • Should have experience in creditor’s rights, consumer credit collections, or related litigation.
  • Deep understanding of Alabama state laws pertaining to consumer collections and the FDCPA.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Preferred multi-state licensure to handle cases across different jurisdictions.
