Location:

Duties:

  • Handle a significant volume of cases within creditors' rights and real estate law.
  • Resolve issues in discovery practice, depositions, and conflict resolution.
  • Manage court appearances, which may involve travel.
  • Provide support in appellate matters.
  • Assist in the firm’s growth by developing relationships and reputation within the industry.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver superior client service and legal representation.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Illinois Bar.
  • Applications accepted from newly licensed attorneys, though 5+ years of litigation experience is preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to handle a significant case volume.
  • Experience in discovery practice, depositions, and conflict resolution.
  • Appellate experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor colleagues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and grow the firm's presence.
  • Familiarity with the Illinois legal system and commitment to superior client support.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Illinois State Bar is required.
  • Additional Bar licenses are a plus.
