Job Overview: A reputable law firm in Minneapolis is actively seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their growing team as an Of Counsel or Partner. This position offers flexibility, including remote, hybrid, or in-person work options. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex litigation, including trial experience, and the desire to contribute to the firm’s leadership and growth.

Duties:

  • Manage and oversee complex litigation cases, both state and federal, from inception through trial.

  • Serve as the primary attorney on cases, providing legal counsel, representation, and advocacy.

  • Lead trial preparation, discovery, depositions, motions, and hearings.

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their legal needs and deliver tailored solutions.

  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.

  • Participate in business development and client relationship management.

  • Contribute to the leadership and strategic direction of the firm.

  • Stay current on legal developments and industry trends to provide effective counsel.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of litigation experience with a proven track record in complex legal matters.

  • Experience in construction law is a plus but not a requirement.

  • First-chair trial experience is highly valued.

  • Ability to manage litigation in both state and federal courts.

  • Strong leadership abilities and a demonstrated interest in firm management.

  • Comfortable with supervising business professionals remotely.

  • Admission to the Minnesota Bar with good standing.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with outstanding academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Minnesota State Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong negotiation and advocacy abilities.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
