A reputable law firm in Saint Louis is seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Attorney to join their team. This role involves providing legal counsel and representation to employers on a broad spectrum of labor matters, including but not limited to collective bargaining, union elections, strikes, picketing, campaigns, and unfair labor practices before the NLRB. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in labor law and a desire to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative legal team.

Duties:

  • Manage multiple labor law matters from inception to resolution, ensuring effective case management across various stages of litigation.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel to clients regarding labor relations, including negotiations, union conflicts, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Conduct research, prepare legal documents, and represent clients in administrative hearings and court proceedings related to labor disputes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties, maintaining professional relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by assisting in generating new client relationships and expanding existing ones.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards and ensure compliance with all legal requirements.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a licensed attorney, specializing in labor and employment law.
  • Strong understanding of collective bargaining, union elections, strikes, picketing, and unfair labor practice cases.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal matters and work independently while collaborating with a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client relations and professional collaboration.
  • Ability to meet billable hour requirements and produce quality legal work.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of Missouri or Illinois.
