A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney specializing in family law to join its team in Overland Park, KS. Duties

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their concerns and goals.
  • Develop case strategies and present compelling arguments for case resolution.
  • Conduct depositions and represent clients during court appearances.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, court personnel, and professionals to best represent clients.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, maintaining timely communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and correspondence.
  • Exercise independent judgment in handling case progress and resolution.
  • Manage and maintain detailed client files to ensure the successful development of cases.
  • Collaborate closely with support staff and other attorneys to enhance workflow and case outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in family law.
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Kansas.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to keep up with a demanding caseload.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Kansas.
