A prominent law firm is seeking a mid to senior-level Project Finance Associate to join its Project & Energy group. This role is centered on energy transition financing matters, providing opportunities to work on internationally recognized projects, including innovative financing deals in the renewable energy sector. The role is available in multiple U.S. office locations and offers exposure to high-profile energy transition projects.

Duties

  • Manage transactions involving financing and M&A of energy transition projects and companies.
  • Handle tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to energy finance.
  • Provide strategic legal and financial counsel on energy transition financing projects.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to execute high-value transactions.
  • Lead and support innovative energy transition deals across multiple jurisdictions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy transition finance matters.
  • Strong experience with tax equity and renewable energy tax credit transactions.
  • Exceptional analytical and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proven communication and client management skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admission to practice law in the jurisdiction where the candidate is applying.
