Duties:

• Advise clients on state and federal privacy laws and regulatory compliance.
• Provide expert counsel on data protection, management, and security, including understanding data flows and maps.
• Handle incident response and guide clients through breach management.
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts related to data privacy and security.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive legal support.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and changes in privacy laws and data security best practices.
• Provide training and guidance to clients on privacy and security practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data privacy, security, and health law.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with legal and non-legal professionals.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts is preferred.
• Familiarity with the healthcare industry is strongly preferred.
• Expertise in state and federal privacy laws, data protection, and incident response.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar in Florida.
