Duties:

  • Investigate criminal cases, offering sound legal advice to clients.

  • Maintain accurate case documentation in the firm's case management system.
  • Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, rules, and forensic science to support case strategies.
  • Draft, review, and edit legal documents such as motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
  • Attend court hearings, present motions, and argue on behalf of clients.
  • Cross-examine witnesses and experts, conducting thorough depositions.
  • Negotiate favorable settlements while striving to maximize positive outcomes for clients.
  • Prepare for and conduct jury trials, managing the entire trial process from start to finish.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of litigation and trial experience.
  • Strong understanding of criminal defense litigation, including statutes, case law, and legal terminology.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Exceptional research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Admission to the Wyoming Bar or the ability to obtain a Wyoming license quickly.

Education:
