Duties:

  • Manage a significant volume of cases within the creditors' rights practice.
  • Participate in discovery, depositions, and conflict resolution processes.
  • Conduct court appearances and represent clients in hearings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues to strengthen the firm's presence.
  • Lead efforts in the resolution of complex legal matters.
  • Travel may be required for court appearances or client meetings.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the firm's litigation practices.

Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the Missouri Bar, and eligible to practice in Missouri federal district and bankruptcy courts.
  • New attorneys are encouraged to apply, although 5+ years of litigation experience is preferred.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with legal procedures, including discovery, depositions, and case resolutions.
  • Familiarity with consumer protection laws such as TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code is a plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive in client relationship management, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Missouri State Bar is required.
  • Additional bar memberships are advantageous but not required.
