Job Overview:

A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage practice group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling insurance coverage disputes, conducting legal research, drafting documents, and representing clients in various legal proceedings. Location:

  • Deerfield Beach, Florida

Duties:

  • Review case files and conduct legal analysis of insurance claims and causes of action.

  • Perform extensive legal research and draft briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate documents.

  • Represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and during depositions.

  • Draft and respond to discovery requests.

  • Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses for case preparation.

  • Prepare cases for trial and attend proceedings as necessary.

  • Meet an annual billable requirement of 1,950 hours.

  • Travel may be required for case-related matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance coverage (preferred but not required).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent research, writing, and oral communication abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Must be responsive to emails and phone inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Strong client management and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida (additional state admissions are a plus but not required).
