Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to clients, assessing their needs and developing strategic solutions
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
  • Collaborate with administrative staff to manage client meetings, billing, and project finalization
  • Represent clients in court, presenting motions and advocating on their behalf during legal proceedings
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft well-supported briefs, pleadings, and motions
  • Maintain up-to-date client files and ensure cases are managed efficiently
  • Offer guidance and leadership to administrative personnel regarding client-related tasks

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in the Tennessee Bar Association preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of legal practice experience, with estate planning and criminal defense knowledge as a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research software such as Westlaw and LexisNexis
  • Strong decision-making, public speaking, and interpersonal communication skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Tennessee (preferred active status)

Skills:
