Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm in Atlanta, GA, seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join its dynamic legal team. This role involves representing financial institutions in various real estate and creditor rights cases, including litigation, foreclosure, and related legal processes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive legal expertise and the ability to manage complex cases effectively while maintaining the highest standards of client service.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in real estate, civil litigation, and creditors' rights cases.
  • Manage and oversee case files using the firm’s case management and reporting tools.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare for court appearances.
  • Handle matters related to Title & Lien Priority, Title Claims, Foreclosure, Eviction, TILA, RESPA, and FDCPA.
  • Appear in court and participate in legal proceedings as required.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to develop case strategies and maintain proactive communication with clients.
  • Engage in loss mitigation efforts and motions practice.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in the Georgia State Bar.
  • 5-8 years of experience in real estate, civil litigation, or creditors’ rights law.
  • Proficiency in civil procedure, court filings, and advocacy in litigation.
  • Familiarity with legal software for case management and reporting.
  • Commitment to providing excellent client service with a proactive communication style.
  • Ability to travel as required for court appearances.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Georgia State Bar license.
  • Additional Bar admissions are advantageous.
