Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a skilled Private Wealth Associate Attorney with 2-8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sophisticated estate planning, trust and estate administration, estate and gift tax matters, and charitable planning.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on estate planning strategies and prepare documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Handle trust and estate administration, including probate proceedings and trust settlements.
  • Guide on estate and gift tax issues, including the preparation of tax returns.
  • Assist clients with charitable planning and establishing charitable trusts and foundations.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex wealth management issues.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the California State Bar.
  • 2-8 years of relevant experience in private wealth planning at a law firm.
  • Proven experience drafting estate planning documents and handling trust and estate administration.
  • Strong understanding of estate and gift tax laws and regulations.

Skills:

  • Excellent academic credentials and a record of high achievement.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Client-focused with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certification in Estate Planning or Taxation (e.g., Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Certified Trust and Financial Advisor).
