Job Overview:
A prestigious boutique law firm in Coral Gables, FL, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. The role will involve a mix of corporate finance, corporate transactional, and corporate litigation matters. The Associate will work closely with senior attorneys, assisting with legal research, drafting legal documents, and working on various types of contracts, including operating agreements, buy/sell agreements, and employment-related documents. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment with exposure to both litigation and transactional practice areas.

Location:

  • Coral Gables, FL

Duties:

  • Assist senior attorneys with legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Work on corporate finance, corporate transactional, and corporate litigation matters.
  • Draft and review contracts, including operating agreements, buy/sell agreements, services agreements, and employment documents such as handbooks.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to ensure the firm’s clients’ needs are met efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity in all aspects of work.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on corporate and employment law matters.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Certifications:
    • Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Experience:
    • 2 to 4 years of experience in Litigation and/or Transactional law, preferably in corporate and employment matters.
  • Skills:
    • Strong drafting and research skills.
    • Knowledge of federal and Florida law, particularly in civil procedure, employment, and corporate law.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Lexis Nexis.
    • Spanish fluency is preferred but not required.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
