Job Overview: A well-established law firm, located in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a highly skilled Employment Litigation Associate Attorney. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team specializing in employment law, representing employers in a wide range of employment-related disputes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other employment-related matters, providing legal counsel, and representing clients in various legal settings.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including lawsuits, agency charges of discrimination, and other claims.

  • Defend employers in court, administrative hearings, mediations, and arbitrations across various employment law issues such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and employment torts.

  • Provide advice to employers on compliance with employment laws, risk management strategies, and best practices for dispute resolution.

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop effective legal strategies and responses.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in employment law.

  • Current admission to the New York Bar, or the ability to obtain admission.

  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations, as well as experience handling claims before relevant agencies.

  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple complex cases.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York Bar or the ability to obtain admission.

Skills:
