Duties

  • Immigration Law:

    • Represent clients in cases before government agencies, including the Immigration Court (EOIR), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and the Department of State (DOS).
    • Prepare and file petitions and applications for Asylum, Adjustment of Status, U Visas, VAWA, Waivers, and Cancellation of Removal.
    • Attend hearings, manage filings, and advocate for clients in complex immigration matters.
  • Personal Injury Law:

    • Handle litigation-focused personal injury cases, including filing complaints, managing discovery, and attending depositions.
    • Participate in mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparations to ensure clients receive fair compensation.
    • Work collaboratively with the legal team to build strong, evidence-based cases.
  • Family and Probate Law:

    • Represent clients exclusively in California courts for Special Immigrant Juveniles (SIJS) cases involving Guardianship and One-Parent Custody petitions.
    • Prepare court filings, present evidence, and advocate for vulnerable children to secure immigration relief.
  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and appeals to support litigation strategies across practice areas.

  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and clear, compassionate guidance.

  • Collaborate with legal support staff to ensure effective case management and timely submissions.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in California.
  • Proven litigation experience with a track record of effective case management.
  • Excellent legal research and writing abilities for drafting motions and appeals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex legal matters to clients and officials.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality legal services with integrity and professionalism.

Education
