A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its team in Wilmington, DE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Duties:

  • Manage and prioritize a high-volume caseload related to foreclosure, bankruptcy, and real estate matters.
  • Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, ensuring they comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Attend hearings, status conferences, and court appearances.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and team members to ensure case progression.
  • Provide creative solutions to complex legal issues, helping clients mitigate risk and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies and streamline legal processes.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Delaware Bar; admission to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Maryland Bar is a plus.
  • Previous experience with title, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and/or mortgage banking is a plus.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle a large caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions to complex legal problems.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Delaware Bar is required.
  • Admission to the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Maryland Bar is a plus.

Skills:

  • Expertise in foreclosure, bankruptcy, or real estate law (preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong legal research and drafting abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
