A law firm seeks a dedicated and driven Associate Attorney to join its growing team, specializing in immigration and personal injury law. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, providing legal counsel, representing clients in various proceedings, and contributing to case strategy and development. This is a full-time, on-site role that offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth in a dynamic legal environment.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in immigration and personal injury legal matters, including but not limited to litigation, negotiation, and settlement discussions.
  • Conduct legal research and provide well-reasoned legal advice to clients.
  • Prepare legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients in both personal injury and immigration matters.
  • Maintain client communication and provide regular case updates.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to manage and develop cases efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Must have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission to the Louisiana State Bar.
  • Strong skills in legal research, writing, and case analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to handle a busy caseload with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to represent clients in both court and settlement negotiations.
  • Professional demeanor and a commitment to providing excellent client service.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member of the Louisiana State Bar.
