Litigation Attorney (Associate)

A law firm seeks an Associate attorney to join its team in Cherry Hill, NJ. This full-time role presents a unique opportunity for a motivated litigator to handle a diverse range of cases, with a focus on general liability and professional liability. Duties:

• Represent clients throughout all stages of litigation, from case initiation to expert discovery.
• Participate in court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.
• Conduct legal research and assist with discovery investigations.
• Draft a variety of legal documents, including discovery requests and responses, motions, case evaluations, court orders, settlement agreements, affidavits, pleadings, and memoranda.
• Review discovery responses, and depositions, and prepare litigation summaries and status reports.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel to resolve disputes.
• Maintain close communication with clients, providing them with legal updates and strategic advice throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
• Prior New Jersey litigation experience is preferred.
• Experience drafting discovery documents, leading depositions, and arguing motions is highly preferred.
• Strong written and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in New Jersey.
