Job Overview:
A leading litigation and appellate law firm is seeking a dedicated and skilled attorney to join their team. The attorney will handle a diverse caseload, provide legal advice, conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and represent clients in court. This role offers a hybrid work environment, combining remote work with occasional in-office requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in litigation, with a preference for healthcare-related litigation, and will possess strong communication, research, and legal drafting skills.

Location:

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
  • Manage and maintain a caseload of litigation matters
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
  • Represent clients in court, including hearings, depositions, and trials
  • Communicate regularly with clients to update them on case progress and developments
  • Collaborate with team members and senior attorneys as necessary

Requirements:

  • Admission to the Kentucky State Bar (Indiana license a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a litigation caseload independently
  • Experience in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in healthcare-related litigation (a plus)
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • License to practice law in Kentucky (Indiana license a plus)
