Job Overview:

Location:

Duties:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive estate plans for clients across various income levels, with a focus on middle-income and high-net-worth individuals
  • Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies, including irrevocable trusts, ILITs, SLATs, and GRATs
  • Lead and participate in client meetings, providing expert guidance on complex estate planning issues
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring excellent service and timely delivery of legal solutions
  • Collaborate with colleagues and specialists to develop tailored estate plans
  • Stay up to date with changes in trusts and estates law and tax regulations

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience practicing in Trusts & Estates law
  • Proven ability to handle complex estate planning for clients with varying levels of wealth
  • Strong experience with tax-efficient strategies and trust structures (e.g., irrevocable trusts, ILITs, SLATs, GRATs)
  • Demonstrated ability in managing client relationships and leading meetings
  • Licensed to practice law in California
  • Ability to travel to the Los Angeles office several times per week

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in California

Skills:

  • Expertise in Trusts & Estates law, including complex estate planning and tax strategies
  • Strong client relationship management and communication skills
  • Excellent drafting and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • In-depth knowledge of estate tax laws and related legal issues
