Duties:

• Advise clients on legal rights and obligations in criminal matters, and prepare legal documents for case progression.
• Represent clients in pretrial hearings and provide strategic advice on case developments.
• Handle all aspects of court appearances, including trials, drafting motions, witness interviews, and legal research.
• Analyze potential case outcomes based on knowledge of legal precedents and applicable law.
• Manage a significant caseload while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
• Provide legal analysis to identify potential benefits for clients and build strong case strategies.
• Gather and review evidence to strengthen clients’ positions or challenge opposing charges.
• Prepare clients for depositions and support them in setting essential case goals by collaborating with witnesses and experts.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in criminal defense.
• Proven track record in handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with associates and other legal professionals.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar admission in California.

Skills:

• Expertise in criminal defense law and trial preparation.
• Advanced legal research and writing abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle a high caseload.
• Excellent negotiation and client communication skills.
