Job Overview:
A well-established law firm located in Chicago is currently seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Workers' Compensation team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in workers' compensation or personal injury law, with a strong interest in litigation and courtroom exposure. This role offers the chance to handle complex workers' compensation matters and gain invaluable trial experience.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in workers' compensation cases, including pre-litigation and trial work.
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and trial preparation.
  • Handle legal research, draft motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  • Communicate with clients to provide updates on case progress.
  • Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain organized and detailed case files.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar.
  • 1-3 years of litigation experience, with a focus on workers' compensation or personal injury law.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Passionate about advocating for injured workers.
  • Portable business is a plus (not required).
  • This is not a remote position.

Education:
