Duties:

• Advise clients on their legal rights and prepare necessary legal documents.
• Represent clients at pretrial hearings, offering strategic advice after each session.
• Handle court appearances, trials, motion drafting, witness interviews, and conduct legal research.
• Evaluate case outcomes by analyzing relevant legal precedents.
• Manage and prioritize a caseload effectively.
• Provide thorough legal analysis to assess potential case outcomes and strategies.
• Gather additional evidence to strengthen clients' cases or counter prosecution charges.
• Prepare clients for depositions, set key objectives for case strategy, and collect supporting information from witnesses and experts.

Requirements:

• Interest and foundational experience in Criminal Defense law, through law school clinics, internships, or volunteer roles.
• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Ability to collaborate well within a legal team and assist colleagues with strategic planning.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to move cases forward and manage multiple legal matters.
• Experience with case management software is advantageous.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree.

Certifications:

• Admitted to the Bar in California.
