A prominent law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing team in Wilmington, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 1-5 years of experience, licensed to practice law in North Carolina, to contribute to a dynamic litigation practice. Duties:

  • Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations
  • Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed
  • Prepare discovery responses and manage document production
  • Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports
  • Negotiate settlements and prepare for trial as necessary
  • Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants
  • Manage multiple cases and tasks with minimal supervision
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of litigation experience
  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and efficiently
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina
