A law firm in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Senior Construction and Design Attorney or Of Counsel to join their team. The candidate will play a crucial role in assisting clients with complex issues and disputes throughout all phases of the construction process, providing strategic legal counsel and representation.

Duties:

  • Advise and represent clients in construction law matters, including contract negotiation, claims, disputes, and litigation.
  • Handle legal issues related to design, procurement, construction defects, delays, and performance disputes.
  • Provide counsel on government contracting and compliance matters in the construction industry.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide written and oral advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve legal issues effectively.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Washington State Bar.
  • 7+ years of experience in construction law/litigation or government contracting, with a strong focus on complex construction projects.
  • Proven track record in handling construction disputes and litigation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts effectively.

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Washington State Bar.
