Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled Collections/Litigation Attorney to join its Peachtree City, GA office. This hybrid role is focused on representing homeowner and condominium associations throughout Georgia in collections and litigation matters. The ideal candidate will bring experience in high-volume case management and a client-focused approach to problem-solving in community association collections.

Duties

  • Case Management:
    • Oversee legal processes for 100+ collection cases, including lien filings, foreclosures, and judgment collections.
  • Court Representation:
    • Attend court hearings and serve as lead counsel in Magistrate, State, and Superior Courts across Georgia.
  • Collaboration and Client Communication:
    • Work closely with collections paralegals to track lien filings, negotiate settlements, and update clients on case statuses.
    • Address complex collection issues, effectively communicating resolutions to clients and courts.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active Georgia State Bar license (required).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in community association collections and litigation.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a flexible, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and a strong commitment to problem-solving.
  • High attention to detail with proven ability to manage a high volume of cases.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
