This role involves managing all aspects of civil litigation defense, with a focus on construction and design professional law. The position requires collaboration with attorneys and staff while independently handling case dockets.

Location:

  • Dallas, TX

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, judicial decisions, and legal codes.
  • Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Manage all phases of discovery, including electronic document production and depositions.
  • Develop case strategies and oversee case management.
  • Represent clients in court for hearings, trials, and status conferences.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
  • Provide status updates and reports to clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Texas and in good standing.
  • 3 to 10 years of experience in civil litigation defense.
  • Strong preference for prior experience in construction litigation or design professional law.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to handle a high caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree required.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
