Job Title: Healthcare Regulatory Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm based in Washington, DC is looking to engage a highly experienced Healthcare Regulatory Attorney through a specialized recruitment process. This attorney will provide regulatory counsel to a diverse clientele of healthcare providers and professionals, focusing on compliance with federal and state healthcare laws.

Duties:

  • Offer comprehensive legal counsel to healthcare providers on regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure client adherence to federal and state healthcare laws and regulations, including but not limited to HIPAA, Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Advise on risk management strategies and assist in healthcare transactions.
  • Manage compliance audits and internal investigations for healthcare clients.
  • Work closely with other attorneys within the firm on multidisciplinary matters related to healthcare.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in healthcare regulatory law.
  • In-depth knowledge of key healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Experience advising healthcare providers on regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Ability to handle complex healthcare transactions and compliance audits.
  • Familiarity with regulatory agencies like HHS, CMS, and state healthcare bodies.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Washington, DC, or the ability to obtain such licensure.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective client consultations.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary legal environment.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry, including regulatory challenges and evolving legal standards.
