Job Overview: A distinguished law firm based in New York City, NY is seeking a mid-level or senior associate attorney with over four years of experience in executive compensation and ERISA-related matters. The role involves working both independently and within teams, providing expert legal services to public and private companies on tax and securities law issues related to equity-based and other incentive compensation plans.

Duties:

  • Advise public and private companies on tax and securities law issues related to equity-based and incentive compensation plans.
  • Collaborate with teams and manage components of transactions independently.
  • Provide counsel on ERISA, employee benefits, and executive compensation matters.
  • Assist clients in complying with complex legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to executive compensation plans.

Requirements:

  • At least 4+ years of experience in executive compensation, ERISA, or employee benefits law.
  • Strong background in working on transactions, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Expertise in advising on tax and securities law issues related to compensation structures.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in relevant jurisdictions, with New York admission preferred.
