A law firm in Redding, CA, is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 2+ years of experience. The ideal candidate should have knowledge and/or a willingness to learn municipal law. Prior municipal and/or litigation experience are encouraged to apply. The candidate must possess excellent research, writing, organizational, and communication skills. They should demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively with others and independently as circumstances demand, with a strong ability to take initiative and problem solve.

 

Duties:

  • Handle litigation matters, including municipal law cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Manage and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and development.
  • Attend meetings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of litigation experience.
  • Knowledge and/or willingness to learn municipal law.
  • Excellent research, writing, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others and independently as circumstances demand.
  • Strong ability to take initiative and problem solve.

 

Education:

JD from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of California.
