Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Newport Beach, CA, is seeking a motivated Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will handle a diverse caseload, including contract disputes, personal injury claims, and employment matters. They will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and representing clients in court.

Duties:

• Handle a broad spectrum of cases, including contract disputes, personal injury claims, employment matters, and more.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings and motions.
• Manage discovery processes.
• Represent clients in court proceedings.
• Take depositions and participate in trials as needed.
• Maintain communication with clients and provide updates on case progress.
• Collaborate with team members on case strategy and execution.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing.
• Demonstrated experience in civil litigation, preferably within a law firm setting.
• Experience in the courtroom and taking depositions; trial experience is a plus.
• Strong legal research and writing skills, with attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and advocacy skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while also working collaboratively with team members.
• Client-focused mindset and a passion for achieving successful outcomes.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
