Duties:

  • Manage and oversee complex estate planning and administration matters, including wills, trusts, probate, and tax issues.
  • Provide expert legal advice to clients regarding estate planning strategies, asset protection, and succession planning.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as wills, trust agreements, and powers of attorney.
  • Coordinate with clients, financial advisors, and other professionals to implement estate plans and resolve any legal issues.
  • Represent clients in probate court and other legal proceedings related to estate and trust matters.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations impacting estate planning and administration.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and staff, guiding them on legal matters and case management.
  • Participate in firm events and community outreach programs to promote the firm’s reputation and foster strong local connections.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in Trusts and Estates law, with a strong background in estate planning and administration.
  • Proven track record of managing complex legal cases and delivering results.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the Massachusetts State Bar.

Certifications:

  • LLM (Master of Laws) degree is a plus.
