The ideal candidate will have expertise in company representation, compensation disclosure issues, various transactional executive compensation and benefits matters, and a strong grasp of relevant tax, securities, and other laws.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and strategic advice on executive compensation, employment, and benefits matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate executive employment agreements, equity compensation plans, and other documents.
  • Advise clients on tax implications of executive compensation structures and benefits plans.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations about executive compensation and benefits.
  • Assist in designing and implementing executive compensation programs and employee benefit plans.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and departments to address complex legal issues.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law, focusing on executive compensation and employee benefits.
  • Proven track record of handling complex executive compensation matters.
  • Strong understanding of tax, securities, and employment laws relevant to executive compensation and benefits.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Education:
