Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in patent prosecution, particularly in technologies such as 5G, Wi-Fi, wireless technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), and memory systems. As a Patent Agent, you will play a key role in evaluating invention technologies, drafting patent applications, and responding to USPTO actions.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with inventors and attorneys to evaluate invention technologies and assess patentability.
  • Draft patent applications and responses to USPTO actions.
  • Manage and develop patent portfolios for clients.
  • Assist in advising clients on patent strategies and patentability analysis.
  • Communicate with clients to provide updates and guidance regarding the patent prosecution process.
  • Support clients in navigating the complexities of intellectual property law related to cutting-edge technologies.
  • Keep current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and USPTO procedures.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of patent prosecution experience.
  • Proficiency in technologies including 5G, Wi-Fi, wireless communication systems, AI, and memory systems.
  • Experience working on patents related to image processing, RF front-end, and processor systems.
  • Registered with the USPTO or qualified to register for the USPTO.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience in a technical domain.

Certifications:

  • Registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), or eligibility to register.

Skills:

  • Expertise in patent prosecution and patent portfolio management.
  • Familiarity with wireless communication technologies, AI, image processing, and other related fields.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage with clients and team members effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
