A law firm is seeking a Senior Corporate Associate Attorney for their Richmond, VA office. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of mergers and acquisitions experience and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Overview: The Senior Corporate Associate Attorney will be responsible for leading the drafting and negotiation of definitive and ancillary documents, managing the deal process and client relationships, supervising junior associates, and handling day-to-day demands on various mergers and acquisitions related matters.

Duties:

  • Lead the drafting and negotiation of definitive and ancillary documents for mergers and acquisitions transactions.
  • Manage the deal process and maintain client relationships.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates in the Corporate Law department.
  • Handle day-to-day demands on a variety of mergers and acquisitions related matters.

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of mergers and acquisitions experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High degree of maturity and business sense.
  • Ability to effectively manage internal and external client relationships.
  • Experience in a large regional, national, or international law firm preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Virginia State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
  • Excellent understanding of corporate law principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
