Family Law Attorney

Job Overview:
A prestigious family law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney with at least 3 years of experience. The attorney will work under the guidance of a partner to manage a substantial caseload, from the initial filing of the petition to the entry of judgment. Responsibilities include legal research, drafting documents, case management, and communication with clients, opposing counsel, and experts. This is a full-time, in-person position that offers a competitive salary based on experience.

Location:

Duties:

• Conduct legal research using Westlaw and Attorneys’ Briefcase.
• Draft memorandums, legal briefs, and other legal documents.
• Propound and respond to discovery requests.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and judicial officers.
• Prepare for trials and hearings.
• Manage cases from initial filing to judgment entry, including ongoing case management.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in family law.
• Active member of the State Bar (California).
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage a heavy caseload and meet deadlines.
• Experience with case management and trial preparation.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar license in California (required).
