A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing legal team in Dallas, TX. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex business litigation cases, including contracts, trade secrets, fiduciary duty claims, and more. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in handling both state and federal court cases and will play an integral part in managing cases from inception to resolution.

Duties:

  • Handle a diverse caseload including business disputes, product liability, finance/banking, and construction matters.
  • Manage high-exposure insurance defense cases, including those involving directors, officers, and professional liability.
  • Take the lead on depositions, oral arguments, and trials at both the state and federal levels.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel to clients, managing their expectations and advocating for their interests.
  • Work collaboratively with partners and other team members in a lean staffing model (one partner, one associate, one paralegal).
  • Represent clients in hearings, negotiations, and settlement discussions.
  • Handle high-volume document production and other large-scale tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 10 years of experience in civil litigation, with a strong background in business disputes.
  • Proven experience in managing cases involving contracts, trade secrets, fiduciary duty claims, and other business-related matters.
  • Experience in product liability, insurance defense, finance, or construction disputes is preferred.
  • Strong oral advocacy and courtroom experience, including depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
  • Ability to manage a high caseload while providing exceptional client service.
  • Active Texas law license in good standing.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must hold a current, active Texas Bar license.

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing and research abilities.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience with high-exposure legal cases and complex litigation.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.
