Junior Associate needed for Birmingham office

Job Overview:

Duties:

• Manage a team of associate attorneys, paralegals, and administrative assistants
• Conduct legal research on various legal issues, statutes, regulations, and case law
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and dispute resolution proceedings
• Interview clients, witnesses, and relevant parties to gather case information and evidence
• Analyze potential risks and liabilities and provide strategic legal advice
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for trial
• Maintain accurate case files and documentation
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and legal teams
• Delegate tasks efficiently to junior attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience practicing law, preferably in litigation
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Commitment to professionalism, ethics, and client service
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and areas of law

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Alabama State Bar and in good standing
