Job Overview: A law firm seeks a highly motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join their team, focusing on bankruptcy law. Duties:

  • Represent clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, from initial consultation through to resolution.
  • Draft legal documents such as petitions, motions, and other court filings.
  • Advise clients on their legal options related to debt restructuring, debt discharge, and asset protection.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and precedents.
  • Attend court hearings and provide legal representation in front of judges.
  • Assist in negotiating settlements, payment plans, and other resolutions.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to develop effective strategies for bankruptcy cases.
  • Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring deadlines and legal requirements are met.
  • Provide exceptional client service and maintain strong relationships with clients and other professionals in the legal field.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • Experience in bankruptcy law, with a focus on consumer or corporate bankruptcies.
  • Strong understanding of bankruptcy codes and laws, both federal and state.
  • Ability to handle a high caseload with attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Professional demeanor and strong client management skills.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing is mandatory.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of bankruptcy law, particularly Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases.
  • Legal research and writing proficiency.
  • Client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
