Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a talented and experienced Business Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join its New York City office. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding academic credentials, excellent written and oral advocacy skills, and a strong background in handling discovery and trial preparation. This position requires a high level of professional judgment and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced legal environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in business litigation matters, including contract disputes, corporate governance, and business torts.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and briefs in state and federal courts.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues related to business litigation.
• Handle all aspects of discovery, including document production, depositions, interrogatories, and requests for admissions.
• Assist with trial preparation, including preparing witness testimony, exhibits, and trial strategies.
• Participate in settlement negotiations, mediation, and arbitration.
• Advise and counsel clients on potential risks, litigation strategies, and legal options.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and business development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and court procedures.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in business litigation at a large law firm or civil litigation boutique.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and projects with competing deadlines.
• Extensive experience with all phases of the litigation process, including discovery and trial preparation.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Local Bar admission in New York is required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Outstanding academic credentials are essential.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar is mandatory.
• Federal court admission is a plus.
