Duties:

  • Represent clients in both business law transactions and litigation matters.
  • Handle cases in state and federal courts.
  • Provide legal counsel to businesses and high-net-worth individuals on a variety of legal issues.
  • Draft legal documents, contracts, and other relevant paperwork.
  • Engage in legal research and prepare case strategies.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients regarding case progress and strategy.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys in the firm on complex matters.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of experience in business law and litigation.
  • Experience representing businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Experience in state and federal courts is preferred.
  • A California license is a plus.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education:

  • Doctoral degree (Juris Doctor, J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active WSBA (Washington State Bar Association) license required.
  • California Bar license is highly desired.

Skills:

  • Experience with Westlaw or similar legal research tools.
  • Strong litigation skills in both business law and commercial matters.
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documents.
  • Legal research and analysis.
  • Courtroom experience, including depositions, motions, and hearings.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
