Duties

  • Provide clear and empathetic counsel to clients, addressing their legal concerns and explaining potential outcomes.
  • Advocate for clients in court proceedings, mediation, and negotiations.
  • Work collaboratively with the legal team and guide less experienced attorneys as needed.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to support staff to ensure efficiency and focus on strategic aspects of cases.
  • Stay updated on family law developments and implement innovative legal practices.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of family law practices and procedures in relevant jurisdictions, including Cook, DuPage, Lake, and McHenry Counties.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex legal situations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients, colleagues, and courts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Bar license in good standing in the practicing state.

  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and courtroom advocacy.
