Senior Attorney - Real Estate Litigation

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a highly experienced Senior Attorney specializing in commercial and real estate litigation to lead its legal team in Coral Gables, FL. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of legal practice and be ready to manage a variety of commercial litigation cases, including real estate disputes, landlord-tenant matters, foreclosure defense, and more. Duties:

• Represent clients in a wide range of commercial litigation cases, including real estate disputes and landlord-tenant conflicts.
• Analyze complex legal issues and develop strategic solutions to resolve cases effectively.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft necessary legal documents, such as motions and briefs.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and trials, representing clients with professionalism and expertise.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, ensuring their best interests are protected.
• Prepare and analyze discovery materials, summary judgment motions, and other case-related documents.
• Collaborate with opposing counsel to facilitate negotiations and resolve disputes.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on matters related to commercial litigation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial litigation, with proven courtroom experience.
• Ability to work independently, managing cases from inception to conclusion.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex legal matters clearly.
• Experience with motions, hearings, trials, and summary judgments.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, ensuring thorough case management.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.

Skills:

• Expertise in commercial litigation, including real estate and foreclosure defense.
• Strong legal research and writing skills, with a focus on drafting persuasive legal documents.
