Duties

• Advise clients on immigration law and present strategic solutions tailored to their needs.
• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely progress and efficient case management.
• Conduct intake meetings with detained individuals at immigration detention centers.
• Prepare and file various immigration petitions, including family-based and removal defense applications.
• Review and amend immigration applications as necessary to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Work collaboratively with law enforcement, prosecutors, and community organizations regarding updates in immigration laws.
• Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients to assess their immigration needs and advise on case strategy.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for testimony before USCIS or court, ensuring a clear understanding of the process.
• Draft legal briefs and submissions for a range of immigration cases, ensuring clarity and thoroughness.

Requirements

• 1-4 years of experience in Immigration Law.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work under deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR, legal writing, detained cases, and USCIS applications.
• Proficiency in case management software is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Bar membership in good standing.
