Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm located in Boca Raton, FL, is actively seeking a talented and experienced Litigation Attorney to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about trial work and ready to take on a full caseload, including handling auto accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death, nursing home abuse, and property damage cases. This role offers a supportive environment where the focus is on litigation and trial preparation rather than pre-litigation tasks, allowing attorneys to concentrate on their core strengths as trial advocates.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of 35-40 cases, including trial preparation and courtroom representation.
• Work closely with a dedicated paralegal and legal assistants to ensure timely and effective case management.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial.
• Participate in jury trials as a First Chair, preparing and presenting evidence, questioning witnesses, and making arguments.
• Collaborate with the litigation team to prepare and execute strategies for cases throughout Florida.
• Take on an active role in professional development through seminars and workshops focused on trial skills.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and colleagues, providing high-quality customer service.

Requirements:

• Active member of the Florida Bar, in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury litigation.
• Proven trial experience, including First Chair responsibilities during trial.
• Strong background in general litigation, including motion practice and depositions.
• Proficient in managing complex discovery processes.
• Experience working with SmartAdvocate® or similar case management software is a plus.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Strong communication skills with both clients and colleagues.
• Team-oriented with a professional approach to client representation and service.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Skills:

• Trial experience, particularly First Chair responsibilities.
• Strong litigation skills, including motion practice and deposition handling.
• Ability to work with legal case management software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
• High level of professionalism and client service focus.
