Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Alpharetta, GA, seeks a skilled Litigation Attorney who is a member of the Georgia Bar with experience in property law, covenants, contracts, insurance defense, and corporate law. The ideal candidate will manage cases independently, collaborate effectively with colleagues, and possess strong communication and legal writing skills.

Job Duties:

• Handle a caseload involving property, covenants, contracts, insurance defense, and corporate law matters.
• Manage cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, motions practice, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Conduct legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and provide well-reasoned legal opinions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with clarity and precision.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Strategize and collaborate with other attorneys in case planning and litigation strategy.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and timely billing records.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of the Georgia Bar.
• 4+ years of experience practicing law with a focus on the Georgia Civil Practice Act, discovery, motions practice, and hearings.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload and move cases forward to completion.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience in property law, covenants, contracts, insurance defense, or corporate law preferred.
